Reel Intro

For my new demo reel, I wanted to create something that really shows off my style and my love for character animation. So, I designed from the ground up this character and environment, and I’m super proud of the end result!

I had a lot of fun animating the character in this and put as much personality into it as possible.

I used this project as a chance to challenge myself with new tools and techniques that I was less familiar with. Cinema 4D’s new cloth simulation system was one of these tools, and it allowed me to add folds and wrinkles on the clothing of the character to give it a natural look. To elevate this even more, I used Substance 3D Painter to texture the clothing with the look of fabric.

In addition to this, I decided I wanted the character to have a 2D animated face so it looked slightly mixed media. For this, I created a face rig within After Effects that I then animated and used for the texture on the head.
